Budget and Staffing Plan Meetings/Packets
- We shared a checklist last week for items that will be reviewed by our office, but that you can use to self-review your overall data within BMS.
- Please remember to submit your documents via the OneDrive Folder for review.
Other Staffing Plan Updates
Fall 2023 1st Proof Data
- Sections with a cap of 75+* – CLAS will be sending this data starting 12/13-12/30
- It is especially important to ensure that data related to enrollment capacities, days and times, and class instructors if they will be teaching large classes back-to-back (particularly at peak times) are listed accurately in BMS.
- CLAS may reach out to units to confirm scheduling, as necessary.
- Sections under a cap of 75 – early February.
- Final deadline of any changes – by first week of March.
Courseleaf
- Implementation is still in process; target is still April 2023, but no new information to share.
- Ensure you are subscribed to the Registrar Academic Scheduling listserv so you are receiving all communications on deadlines, announcements, and Courseleaf updates.
Payroll Reminders
- Summer Graduate appointments are due in PageUp 2/24 to allow CLAS SS BC time for review and approval.
- Spring GAs due in CORE 12/9
- Spring Adjuncts due in CORE 12/19
Other Information
- CLAS has created a centralized Search Account where departments can directly charge search expenses for T/TT and APiR positions (i.e., all advertising costs and up to $2k per search): 2527220
- The Provost has updated the Faculty Compensation Policy on Nov 11th:
- Please note: Overload Pay may be appropriate for activities including, but not limited to, teaching during winter or May intercession, online course development sponsored by CETL, outreach, performance, or academic/student support. It should not exceed 25% of the twelve-month equivalent of annual salary each year
- Human Resources has updated their Special Payroll Manual to reflect the most recent policy on Re-Employed Retirees, as well as the AAUP and GEU-UAW contracts.
