Internal Grant Review
The Proposal Enhanced External Review (PEER) program is an optional internal grant review resource for faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). The program provides faculty members with timely, actionable feedback about their proposed research from a panel of experienced individuals recommended by the PI, prior to a grant's submission deadline.
Panelists will review the applicant's full draft proposal based on the funding agency’s review criteria and share their insight in the form of a panel discussion. Each panel may consist of three-to-five peers within and/or outside the University.
Participants should adhere to the principle of mutual benefit for all involved and the program should create a safe environment for constructive criticism and open discussion.
Proposal Enhanced External Review
The PI should submit their request for a Proposal Enhanced External Review at least three months prior to the application deadline so that CLAS Grant Management Services can contact recommended reviewers. The PI is also required to submit their final draft proposals one month prior to the application deadline to allow time for viewers to respond with feedback.
