About Us

The Computer Support Group provides IT assistance for faculty and staff members in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on the Storrs campus.

We consult with the many CLAS departments who do not have their own dedicated IT support staff. Many departments have their own IT support that either handles all of their IT needs for that department or that we help to supplement.

We are a small group but we offer a broad range of PC and Mac desktop support services, computer-related purchasing consultation, and server infrastructure. Our primary goal is to fill gaps in services provided by ITS for researchers and instructors. Computer Support Group staff also represent the interests of CLAS on a variety of computer-related committees.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance.

If you are a CLAS student (graduate or undergraduate) seeking assistance with a personally owned computer, the best resource for you is likely to be ITS Help Center. Check out their website or call their help desk with your question at 860-486-4357.

For home computer support please contact a local support service.
