CLAS Facilities manages the core academic, research, and administrative buildings in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Our team supports the College's goals to provide outstanding education, to pursue groundbreaking research, and to recruit top talent. Our Services

Access Requests (Key and Card)

For: CLAS faculty, staff, PIs, and student researchers


CLAS Facilities serves as the control point for key and card access requests to CLAS buildings. All requests must have proper approval from a PI or supervisor before we can complete the request. Please submit your request to CLASFSHelp@uconn.edu.

Building Management

CLAS Facilities building managers are the primary campus contacts for many of the educational and research spaces in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Our buildings include:

Emergencies, Urgent Responses, and Troubleshooting

CLAS Facilities building managers are on campus during regular business hours to help troubleshoot and solve problems. For routine building requests during business hours, please contact CLASFSHelp@uconn.edu.

The UConn Facilities Operations Center is staffed 24/7/365 to coordinate maintenance requests for the University. For urgent concerns such as water leaks or a power outage, please immediately call the Operations Center at 860-486-3113 and then contact your building manager.

In the event of an emergency, always dial 911 first.

Light Tasks and Handiwork

CLAS Facilities can help with light tasks and handiwork related to your building or workspace. Some examples include:

  • Hanging whiteboards/bulletin boards
  • Room rearrangement
  • Basic equipment setup and assembly
  • Shelving adjustment

Move Assistance

For: CLAS faculty, staff, PIs, and student researchers


CLAS Facilities can handle most light moving tasks and assist with cleanouts and recycling office equipment. Our team can also help coordinate larger moves using the UConn Warehouse moving service or hiring professional moving services when needed. Please submit your request to CLASFSHelp@uconn.edu.

Space Renewals and Renovations

Are you relocating to a new space? We can help get your new lab, office, or classroom cleaned, updated, and ready for use. Our team members can also enter your unwanted items into Asset Panda for UConn Surplus Operations. Please submit your request to CLASFSHelp@uconn.edu.

Work Order Request Monitoring
